Before the Scooby Gang, before Sunnydale felt like home, there was just Buffy—a teenage girl trying to outrun the destiny she never asked for. Sent to Sunnydale along with her new Watcher, Giles, Buffy discovers that beneath the ordinary halls of Sunnydale High lurks the Hellmouth. With her new friends Willow and Xander by her side, she begins the journey from reluctant Slayer to the heart of a family she never knew she needed. It was the beginning of everything: the friendships, the monsters, the heartbreak, and the magic.
